About the role: This is an implant position which will be based at the customers site, as a Shipping Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating all import and export seafreight shipments, providing seamless support to your customer.
Duties include:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the shipping process, from booking transportation to coordinating documentation and customs clearance with your team.
- Work closely with clients, building strong relationships and supporting them through the shipping process
- Maintain and update SAP and Cargowise, order tracking and expected ETA
- Liaise with clients, carriers, and customs authorities to address any issues or queries that may arise
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to stakeholders including reporting.
- Collaborate with the wider logistics team to optimise processes and identify opportunities for improvement
What we're looking for:
- Solid International Freight Forwarding experience & supply chain experience is advantageous
- strong understanding of import and export procedures, customs regulations, and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in using SAP & Cargowise would be advantageous
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
